The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors authorized the sale of the Oak Park Property on December 12, 2006.
The Notice of Sale contains information related to bid requirements, minimum bid, and date/time/place of sale. The Contra Costa County Public Works Department, Real Property division, has been charged with with conducting the auction sale of the Oak Park Property.
The Basis of Value for the property is a Residual Land Value Analysis prepared for the County by Seifel and Associates in November, 2006. You will note that the analysis examined the various types of uses possible under the City's General Plan including single family residential medium
density, multifamily, and mixed use residential/commercial. The use viewed to generate the highest residual land value was single family
residential high density consistent with the density stated in the City General Plan Housing Element.
